My Handcrafted Journey

Welcome to Rivulet Studio, home for small batch handmade ceramics in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada. Each piece is crafted with care with the aim to create something both beautiful and functional for your home.

From pottery and painting to baking and culinary arts, I've always enjoyed working with my hands, creating something beautiful for your eyes (and sometimes belly) to consume. Here you'll find a growing collection of ceramics, crafted with function and form in mind; pieces that you can use for food prep and storage that look good sitting on your countertop even when not in use, mugs that spark joy when sipping your morning tea or coffee, or bowls that nicely cradle in your hands.

Each piece is formed in my home studio and, with the help of a local studio, bisque fired, then I glaze each piece and it's fired again. Days at the studio are a fun adventure out of my solitary basement pottery room. They are times for seeing what other people are working on, getting new ideas and tips on how to do things better. Pottery fulfils my desire to be challenged every time I sit at the wheel and get those little aha moments where I make something I've made before but with less clay or faster. And there are times where everything I try flops, but I just say, "I can't make that....yet."
